Liz and I have left lovely London behind for a destination closer to our hearts and heritage. IRELAND. Our last day in London we visited the Tower of London and London Bridge, had an unfortunate and hilarious experience with a phone booth (that we were
actually using, it wasn't even a classic red one), and had a quiet rest of the day packing and hanging out. We woke up early the next morning for the first time this trip to catch our train from London to Holyhead, and from there we took a ferry to Dublin. Much to our surprise, this ferry was ballin. It had a movie theater, and a shopping section, and a cafe, and a pub. Needless to say, we made ourselves comfortable.
We are now in Dublin, home of Guinness on tap and O'Connell everything. We've been hanging out with Patrick, Liz's family friend, who's proved to be an excellent tour guide and conversation maker. In the pubs today we talked about music and US politics and travel, and we walked through much of the city. Another notable thing about our day is that Liz and I both slept for 13 hours last night. Weird.
We just got back from Thai food that was very spicy. We kept sweating and having to blow our noses. That's when you know it's good. It might do a number on my digestive system, though, so...
Peace and love,
Alexis
P.S. Our pictures are having some trouble arranging themselves in the correct order. We're working on it.
