Over and Out

Dearest Family, Friends, and Readers,

I promised a last post, so here goes a Monday night attempt to wrap up the un-wrap-up-able.

You all have my deepest thanks for following Elizabeth and I across the globe.  I used to think that the interconnectedness of our evolving cyber world was worrisome, but I've been reevaluating this stance ever since leaving home, largely due to our lovely little blog. There's a sort of comfort that comes from knowing your adventures are not in complete isolation, doomed to forever remain within the confines of your own head. While the content found here is only a snapshot of everything that has happened over the past seven months, it was a link to the world at large while we crawled into Earth's nooks and crannies. Our posts were one-way conversations with a faceless audience. We could have been talking to ourselves for all we know. So, if you ever found yourself on the receiving end of our story, even just once: Thank you.

I'm not exactly sure what kept us a writin' the whole time. It must have been some feat of determination, considering that we whined about it to each other a good deal. I'm glad we did; it forced us to explain indescribable beauty, to voice cultural complications, and to string together words when overwhelm threatened to hold them back.

Below there are some notes that may be of interest. Other than that, this is it! Time to send our gap year blog into the grey havens of cyberspace.
It's been quite a journey.

SO MUCH LOVE,
Alexis & Liz

Elizabeth spends most of her time on Tufts' campus, getting reacquainted with friends and a work schedule.  Today, she send me a picture of her first Hodgdon sandwich without guacamole.

The adventures continue.
