1 week!

As I look out my window at the lake that my family goes to every year, I know the view out my window in a week will be the vast Atlantic ocean! Our flights are now exactly a week away and I couldn't be more excited. Camera finally bought, and bag almost packed it still seems unreal that we will be embarking on the biggest adventure of our life in almost no time at all!

This was the perfect time to happen upon this short, fantastic article about spending money on experiences versus objects. Psychology professor Ryan Howell says that experiences aren't as susceptible to social comparison and better meet our basic needs, leading to more satisfaction than if we were to drop ducats on material goods.

Exactly fourteen days from now we will have arrived in Europe to begin our adventure.  WE CANNOT BELIEVE IT.
